February is like a month of celebrations. It starts off with a bang from the Super Bowl on Sunday afternoon so how about a simple, nutritious and tasty snack to munch on? I'm very excited to have my good friend Best-Selling and Award-winning author Mary Morgan as my guest today.
Mary writes time travel romance that'll keep you on the edge of your seat, tears streaming down your face, and your heart tripping over itself. To add to the celebration, she's giving an e-copy of Magnar (The Wolves of Clan Sutherland Book one) away to one lucky visitor. Be sure to comment below for a chance to win. Enjoy!
These tasty nuts are great anytime. I usually serve them during the holidays and while watching football games.
SPICY ROSEMARY ROASTED CASHEWS
2 cups raw unsalted cashews
1 tablespoon chopped fresh rosemary leaves. (In a pinch, I’ve used dried rosemary)
1 teaspoon dark brown sugar
1 teaspoon sea salt (or kosher)
1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or more, depending on your taste)
1/2 tablespoon butter, melted
Preheat oven to 375 degrees F
On a baking sheet, arrange cashews in single layer. Roast 8-10 minutes or until nuts are toasted and heated through.
Meanwhile, in a large bowl, stir together rosemary, brown sugar, salt, and cayenne until combined. Stir in melted butter.
Add hot cashews to bowl with rosemary mixture and toss until nuts are well coated. Serve warm.
(Recipe can be doubled if you’re having more guests)
The wolf surrenders to no one...
Known as the Barbarian, Magnar MacAlpin is a fierce ruler for those under his command. As leader of the Wolves of Clan Sutherland, his loyalty and obedience lies with Scotland. However, the king's last demand is not something Magnar will tolerate.
After Elspeth Gunn's brother the Chieftain of Castle Steinn is murdered, she flees with her nephew, and finds safety amongst a band of men who are rumored to be part wolf. When the king forces her to wed a heathen Northman, she fears losing her heart and soul not only to the man, but the beast as well.
In order to restore peace to a shattered clan, Magnar and Elspeth travel a treacherous path that challenges their beliefs. When evil seeks to destroy ancient traditions, will Magnar be compelled to restrain his wolf or allow him free to protect those he loves?
