Week 2 of the MFRW Weekly blog challenge and I already forgot to write my post! Eck!
So how does my family survive my writing? To be honest, they don't, I've gotten rid of three of my six children and been married four times...KIDDING!
I have always catered to the members of my family. Heck, I'm the mother, isn't that what I should do? I know that's what I would have liked from a mother. Any attention at all - PLEASE! So now my kids are grown and pretty much I've learned NOT to mention that I'm a writer. A little bizarre, I know, and I do on occasion mention writer things anyway, like when I have a new release or dedicate a book to them. I don't think I would have been as proficient in my writing if I'd tried to do it while working a full-time job with little ones in the house. Those authors who do that are amazing! Hats off to them! Seriously!
My husband has learned that I may suddenly totally shut him out if I have an idea when he's talking to me. I'll tell you that's a scary prospect because he is the very definition of taciturn so I'm really taking a chance he may never actually talk to me. I think he gets it and just understands. We'll be having coffee and I'll say, "so you if a guy has an erection can he...." you get the idea. He answers and we continue with our coffee<3
