As she approached the source of the healing thermal waters, Arduinna found the goddess lounged near the edge. She allowed herself to blend in with the surrounding foliage and silently watched Demona as she stroked the naked body of a young god. He appeared to be unconscious for he showed no reaction to the beautiful, if much older, goddess fondling him. Every now and then, Demona reached into the steaming water and brought some out in her cupped hand. She trickled it over him, letting her fingers trail shimmering swirls across his golden skin.
Swatting at a fairy hovering nearby, its lacy, iridescent wings buzzing in her ear, Arduinna stepped out into the open. “What have you done?”
